About Walldroff Equipment

Walldroff Equipment Inc. is a family owned and operated business that has been in existence for 44 years and has continued to expand for much of those four decades.

It was founded by William and Jean Walldroff at their farm in Lafargeville in 1972. Family members David Walldroff, Dave Schryver, Wendell Walldroff, and Marcus Walldroff joined the family business after completing college and are currently active with the management of it today.

Initially the major line of equipment was Allis Chalmers, but soon became dealers for additional lines including Hesston and New Idea.

Back in the 1970's, sales and service of farm equipment wasn't the only business. We also installed and erected steel grain structures and dryers throughout the area and much of New York State.

In 1985 we became a dealer for New Holland equipment and opened a second location in Watertown Center.

With a strong sense of opportunity to better serve customers, a new facility was constructed in 1987 at Murrock Circle in Watertown and we added the Ford tractor line - thus merging the New Holland and Ford franchises in one modern facility.

In 1993 the existing Lafargeville dealerships were merged into the Watertown operations to create the area's largest farm equipment dealership with several manufacturers represented under one roof.

As business grew and customers came from longer distances we added a new location in Canton, New York in 1997. It was the former Dragoon's Equipment site along Route 11. New Holland machinery became available at the St. Lawrence County location as well as in Watertown.

With an increasing need for more space a new addition was constructed at the Watertown facility in 1999. It nearly doubled the parts and service area. In 2006 we did a new addition in Canton nearly doubling its parts and service area.

We, here at Walldroff Equipment, pride ourselves in understanding the true needs and solutions for the area's agricultural community but also we are a very diverse business. Kubota line was added and in 2011 Massey Ferguson was added at Watertown store.

We believe that understanding people is what makes the difference. We have several employees who have been with us since the start of their careers and are proud of their accomplishments. Many of the owners and employees serve on various community, church and fire department boards.

Our business serves a customer base from Central Square to Malone with additional sales and premium used equipment to an even larger area.

Our major lines are New Holland, Kubota, Agco, Massey Ferguson, Bush Hog®, New Idea, Woods®, Kinze, Versatile, Brillion, Cam Superline, Cross Country, Tiger, and several others.

The selection of equipment is diverse - from home lawn care to commercial agriculture and industrial equipment. We are proud to be located in the North Country and serving the needs of customers throughout the region.
